Home Remedies For Blood Pressure


Now-a-days as our life is becoming fast, we are over
stressed and suffer from disorders like hypertension. The patient should
stop taking or reduce as much as taking salt. He should have easily
digestible food minus spicy condiments.





  • He should take as much water as possible. Sometimes it
    is due to the malfunctioning of kidneys. Lot of water intake will help
    curing the basic defect.


  • He should avoid taking tea, cigarettes, coffee and rich creamy biscuits.

  • He should try to do light exercise and resort to massage of the body if possible.

  • Have as much fruits as possible instead of regular food.

  • The patient should try to keep his bowels clean.
    Constipation adds to the impurities in the body and thus put extra load
    on the excretion system of the body.


Giddiness Due To Blood Pressure




  • Soak 1 teaspoon each of powdered amla, coriander seeds
    (saboot dhania) and sandalwood in a cup of water overnight. Strain and
    drink the next day. Continue for a few days.


Low Blood Pressure

Have juice of basil (tulsi) leaves (10-15) mixed 1 teaspoon honey.


  • Add 3/4 cup crushed licorice (Mulathi) root to 4 cups
    cold water and allow it to stand for 2 hours. Then bring it quickly to a
    boil and steep for 5 minutes. Add this to the bath water in the tub.

  • Brandy or Alcohol of any variety in quantity from 15 to
    50 ml. diluted with warm water, is a temporary expedient which can be
    tried till the exact cause of the malady is ascertained. Or, spirit of
    Ammonia Aroma should be given in teaspoonful doses diluted with an equal
    amount of water


High Cholesterol




  • Sunflower seeds contain a substantial amount of
    linoleic acid which is helpful in reducing cholesterol deposits on the
    walls of the arteries.


  • Finely dice an onion and mix it with 1 cup buttermilk along with 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (kali mirch) powder and drink.

  • Regularly intake garlic (lahsun) cloves for a few days.
  • Regularly intake coriander decoction made by boiling 2
    teaspoons dry coriander seeds powder in 1 cup water. Milk and sugar can
    be added to improve its taste. This could be a welcome substitute for
    teas or coffee
